At BAWCC's two sites we provide services to more than 600 families, children, and women each month.

Our “resident receptionist” Taya helps provide a home-like environment at the BAWCC Center on Leavenworth Street.


BAWCC has many service programs at our two sites.

  • Drop-In Services, Information & Referrals
    Assistance with referrals for medical, educational, food, housing, employment, childcare, legal and other needs for families and women.

  • Job-Related Services Program
    Assistance with job-related issues, finding job-training & education programs, information on job search for Tenderloin residents.

  • Clothes Closet
    Free women's and children's clothing and household items for daily needs, with special job-interview wardrobe.



  • Parent/Child Program
    Free weekly play group for pre-school children and their parents/caregivers. Co-sponsored with SF City College, the program provides a hot meal and a place to meet with other parents and children for fun!


  • Food Pantry
    Once a week, BAWCC provides a nutritional food package to families in need.


  • Angel Child Program
    BAWCC coordinates a special gift-giving program for more than 300 Tenderloin children each holiday season.
